Chartered Financial Analyst John Pettey is a forward-thinking business leader who applies an analytical approach to his work as executive vice president of private equity investment at Dobbs Equity Partners, LLC, in Memphis. In this addition, he manages a diversified investment portfolio of hedge fund, non-control private equity, venture capital and marketable securities. His responsibilities include handling asset allocation, manager selection, and risk and liquidity management. He also ensures timely investment portfolio performance reporting. John Pettey also co-leads the firm’s automotive dealership portfolio and worked on the creation of financial and management infrastructure for these interests.

Previously, John Pettey was a vice president of investments with Raymond James - Pettey Moore Group, also in Memphis. He was part of a three-member advisory group that worked with high net worth families and institutional clients He also served as an investment advisor for Wells Fargo Advisors and portfolio manager for Logos Capital Management. He holds a bachelor of arts in economics from Amherst College, and studied economics at Oxford University. A member of the CFA Society, he is also a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
